The scatter plot is similar to a time series plot, but it does not require time to be part of the plot. It provides a visual understanding of how two different measurements are related. There other types of graphs consider a single variable.
*Every pie chart can be converted into a bar chart, but not every bar chart can be converted into a pie chart. In order to be a pied chart it has to show a percentage or part of a whole.
Misleading Charts and Graphs:
- Manipulating the vertical and/or horizontal axis
- Arithmetic errors and typos
- Overcrowded or 3D graphics
- Incorrectly proportioned areas
- Incorrectly proportioned bars
